Larger Families
If you have four or more children, you have a large family! It’s a constant juggle but you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Criteria for a large family
- You count your children when collecting them from school to make sure you have them all
- People often ask how you manage
- You are never alone unless using the bathroom and even then………..
- It amuses you when people with two children talk about their workload.
- You can’t fit your weekly shop into one shopping trolley
- Its an MPV or a Mini Van
- You use your washing machine twice daily at least
- It takes a month for a virus or sickness bug to get through your whole family.
- You fill the dishwasher and still have to wash up at the sink
- You carry more luggage on a day out than most families do for a week’s holiday
- Nobody will baby-sit all your children at once
- Your children are never alone – they always have a playmate
- It takes an enormously long time to put everyone to bed
- You need to make reservations at restaurants rather than just showing up and hoping they can seat you all
- You can’t book one family sized room in a hotel
- You and your partner no longer have enough pairs of hands to give the children when crossing the road
- You buy most things in bulk
- You accumulate more children because one or two extra really doesn’t matter
