It’s important to enjoy a good family day out especially with the fast paced busy lives we keep. As these events can be few and far between, planning where to go to ensure the time is a happy one is imperative.
Deciding what to do and where to go can be particularly difficult when trying to please the whole family. If you can’t please everyone perhaps divide your day into two. Maybe go to the museum that your older children want to visit followed by the afternoon with a picnic and ball games in the park for the younger children.

The other issue with large family outings is the cost. A family ticket is normally 2 adults and two children so if you are anymore in numbers then a family ticket isn’t really a family ticket! If you are visiting a theme park or tourist attraction the cost of the tickets can soon add up to an outrageous amount of money. Try and keep costs down by looking out for family discount days or by collecting tokens or special offers. Not all family outings have to be costly and you can avoid the extra associated costs by bringing your own food and drinks.
