Modern Life Issues
Trying to raise a family with the pressures of our modern life is difficult and even more so if you have a larger family. You need a bigger house and a bigger car. You have larger bills and expenses.
As soon as you get passed three children you can no longer fit in a family saloon car. At four children your requirements change and a MPV is necessary. Problem with a MPV is that it is just that – a people carrier. It doesn’t have enough space for all the bags and equipment that need to travel with you and your family of 6 or 7. So, you buy a roof box or pull a trailer. If you are a family of 8 the regular MPV is no longer an option and you need to drive a Mini Van. See our page on Mobility for Large Families.
Your bills and expenses will be larger so you have to work harder to pay for everything. Often both parents need to work and often longer hours or shift hours to meet the demands of our modern life.
There is pressure to send your children to clubs and out of school activities. Whilst these activities are often beneficial to your child they also add extra work to the daily routine of driving them here and there, more expense plus the petrol.
