The experts would recommend breast feeding and we all can appreciate the benefits to breast milk but you have to look at your own unique set of circumstances to make the decision as to what’s best for you and your family.

Breast feeding twins isn’t impossible and many twin mums manage it – hats off to them!  There are special cushions that can help with breast feeding and special methods can be taught into lifting and positioning the babies.

As with bottle feeding you will need to make allowances for the fact that not all babies can cope with four hourly feeding at first and decide to “feed on demand” so potentially you could spend much of your time feeding and not doing anything else.

If you question whether you would have enough milk to feed two babies, the answer would be yes.  The more you feed the more milk you should produce.  It’s all about supply and demand.
