Twin Buggies, Pushchairs, Prams and Strollers
I have two sets of twins and have spent much time in trying to find practical solutions to the challenges that Twins present to their parents. Getting out and about with Twins is one of the biggest hurdles twin parents have to face, largely due to practicalities and safety.
First off and probably the single most expensive item would be the twin buggy, twin pushchair, twin pram, double buggy or whatever other name you like to call it; I like to call it your “twin wheels”.
It is wise to take time considering what it is that you need before you make a purchase. Think about the boot size of your car, think about the shops you need to negotiate, think about the size of your front door or other entrance to your house.
You may find that your needs in the beginning change when your twins get older. For example, with our second set of twins we started with the Jane Twin Two Travel System which included two integrated car seats that could be removed on and off the frame. This was ideal when they were very small as it enabled us to move them from house to car to buggy and so on without disturbing their sleep. However as the girls got bigger the one seated at the behind never wanted to be there and wanted to be upfront so the tandem idea became a problem for us. We switched to a side by side.
